Why Debian needs Upstart
Overview of the Upstart event-based init system followed by details of how to use Upstart in Debian.
This first part of this talk will provide a detailed overview of the design of the Upstart event-based init system.
Some of the concepts that will be covered include: events, jobs, stanzas, overrides, bridges, System V Support and Utilities.
The second part will describe some of the "enablements" that Upstart has allowed.
The final part covers how to use Upstart in Debian.
